FALL 2010 INTERNSHIP:
University Student Evangelism & Discipleship: Plzen, Czech
MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS:
Asking relevant questions in the highly secular city of Plzen is the first step of finding common ground among the students and young adults. What is Truth? What does church look like? are some of the questions that will engage the community and provide a foundation for genuine cross cultural ministry. While working with seasoned missionaries, you will get the chance to develop ministry opportunities based on your own gifts and strengths in order to effectively further the Kingdom of God among these spiritually-needy people.
Housing: You will be placed in a Czech home or local apartment.

Location
Plzen is the country’s cultural and humanistic center with its influence dating back to Renaissance times. Education is commonly accessible with over 17,000 college students attending the University of West Bohemia. The spiritual state of Plzen however is less prosperous-of the 175,000 people living in the city, less than 1,500 are regular church attendees. Putting God first is not a priority among most Czech young adults and the population desires culturally relevant answers to the outdated traditional religious approach. With over 40% of the Plzen’s population being young adults, a loving and effective way of sharing the Good News is more important than ever before.
